Duncan is a good man.

Duncan is the king of Scotland and is a good man that is murdered by Macbeth. Duncan is said to be a good man, because all he wants is great things for his kingdom and people, and is a very giving person when well has been done. For example Duncan gives Lady Macbeth a diamond for letting him stay at her place. He is able to put down a rebellion and to punish a traitorous thane, as well as a king. He is also willing to share the fruits of the victory. The only bad thing about King Duncan is that he has too much trust in people and sometimes they are not very trustworthy.

In act four scene one there is a quote saying "Be bloody, bold, and resolute. Laugh to scorn the power of man, for none of women born shall harm Macbeth." This quote means that the blood child is the second of the three apparitions that the witches conjure up for Macbeth. This tells Macbeth to not fear and have confidence, because no one born from a women can harm him. Therefore with that being said Macbeth thinks he is invincible that no man can defeat him. Macbeth decides to ignore the first witch that told him to beware of Macduff. What he doesn't know is that the "blood child" is Macduff's infant covered with blood from the ripped womb of his mother.

Malcolm is Duncan's oldest son and is a fearful man after his fathers death. After his father has been killed he becomes fearful of his life and is confused about who he is. He then leaves Scotland and goes to England to become more mature and figure out who he is again. He starts to gathers an army in despite his farther's death to defeat Macbeth's army to regain his throne, and make everything better.
